About the Dive Kite.
|
|

|
Photographed during filming on its inaugural
test run two versions of the Dive Kite were
taken with film crew and photographers to
a quiet spot near Phantom Island.
|

|
The Dive Kite was originally intended as an underwater
search and photographic reconnaissance tool, for
divers
being towed behind a surface vessel.
As the Dive Kite has evolved it has demonstrated
it is
not only a tool for divers but could be a fun recreational
vehicle also.
It is
light weight, weighing only 15 to 20 kilos
per single unit and is quite portable and stackable
on a car roof or boat canopy. It can be assembled
as a one, two, or even three person configuration.
|
 |
The Dive Kite is simply towed behind a boat,
and the operator controls the depth and direction,
using the simple controls at easy reach on the
Dive Kite.
|

|
While it is out of the water you can clearly see
the main inventive step of this invention which
is the front canopy assembly which when in
motion, creates the still water area in which
the driver and passengers lie.
|
 |
Two divers in our test vehicle show how easy it
is to get
into the dive kite and lie comfortably in the kite
with
scuba gear or as in this shot just to do some snorkelling.
